MEDITATION

If we think about what Buddhism has to offer, meditation certainly would come to mind. Anyone can meditate and Buddhism is not a religion. Buddha himself said he believed in the gods of Hinduism which predated Buddhism by at least a thousand years.

Anyone can meditate and you have to teach yourself. You can meditate all day long while working or at rest with your eyes open or closed.

You choose your mantra Om, God or other and you repeat it over and over again. What do you gain? Because people in recovery are very often suffering from loss, meditation is of great help in alleviating their losses. But it also makes them feel better in general when they meditate.
